The System Designed To Keep You In

You might not see it at first.

You’ve been living your life focused on the future.

Worrying about the past.

Coping.

You’ve been distracting yourself.

Then, one day, it hits you. Like a truck.

“Life is short. You don’t have much time. You’ve been going nowhere.”

This is when your second half of your life starts.

The rest of your life.

Where do you want to be?

What are your aspirations?

What have you accomplished so far?

Are you living the life you’ve always wanted?

Is there anything more in you that’s still hidden?

Are you ready to show your whole self to the world?

At a certain point you’ve got to ask yourself these questions.

It might hurt.

It’s going to hurt.

You’ll feel pain.

The pain of regret.

Why haven’t you worked for the life you always wanted?

You’ve been wasting all this precious time.

You can always get more money.

But time.

Time is scarce.

You don’t have much.

You franticly start researching how to get better at life.

You start leveling up your skills. Getting more knowledge.

Putting yourself in new situations. Meeting new people.

Living a completely different life.

Your old friends start to see you less and less.

Your family wondering why you’re not visiting more.

You try to explain it. That you have work to do.

They don’t understand.

“But you’re working full time already! Is 5 days of work not enough?”

They don’t see it’s not work. It’s slavery.

You’re not working for yourself.

You’re working for someone else.

Making others rich. Wasting time and energy.

There’s got to be a way out of this.

You feel it.

You know it.

You’re working for it.

You start to see the patterns. How it’s all built up.

The system that keeps you stuck.

The environment built to tame you.

And the trapdoors.

Dopamine. Convenience. Debt. Mortgage. “Retirement”.

These start to make sense. How these are used to keep people stuck.

You’re not acting until it hurts bad enough.

But it only hurts a little.

You can survive. You have enough food on the table.

You’ll work only until you’re 65. You’ll have your WHOLE life to be free after that.

This is not freedom.

This is a cage.

You keep researching. Gathering knowledge.

The escape routes start to reveal themselves.

You start getting better. Talking to others who made it.

Your brain starts to shift.

You are more aware.

Your beliefs are shifting.

You can’t fake it anymore.

You’ve turned off that part of your brain.

The system is so apparent now.

So you grow. And wait.

Learn and wait.

Your time will come.

And you will be ready.
